Scott Hechlik offers more than eighteen years experience in the commerical real estate industry, including development, construction, management and acquisition. He is the Managing Director/Asset Manager of Osprey s.a. Ltd, a privately held real estate fund, and previously with Turner Construction, in Chicago and Detroit.
Scott has P&L responsibility for daily asset management, property management, and project management over 65+ real estate facilities, over 5M SF of office and industrial space, ranging in value from $500K to $100M. In addition, Scott has oversight and management of the firm’s Information Technology platform.
Scott also directly managed Profit & Loss for multi‐faceted construction and development projects within industry sectors including Commercial, Recreation, Hospitality,
Education, Industrial, Government, Healthcare, Health & Fitness, and Research & Development.
Scott’s core strength is developing business processes, procedures and the support structure to implement these initiatives. He has worked in internal corporate business growth platforms including restructuring and transitional scenarios.
Mr. Hechlik previously served on the Board of Directors for Sarasota’s Gulfcoast Wonder and Imagination Zone (GWIZ). He was selected by the Chairman of the Board to co‐lead the emergency management and strategic repositioning of the non‐profit organization.
From 2003‐2011 Mr. Hechlik served as a two‐term member of the Michigan State University School of Planning, Design and Construction (SPDC) Alumni and Advisory Board (MSU CAAB). Scott is a member of Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA), Construction Financial Managers Association (CFMA) and Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Mr. Hechlik earned a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction Management, with a minor in accounting, at Michigan State University and a Masters of Business Administration at The University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Mr. Hechlik is a Harvard alum and graduate of the Advanced Management Development Program in Real Estate at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.
